Knocked Up

Well I thought it was time to pop in and say hello. I've been having one of my extended breaks as work, family, and well, life keep me on my toes and even pull my pants down from time to time, well the bambino does. She has a thing about pulling down my PJ bottoms and putting her hand down the back of my jeans when I'm bent over... Anyway...I digress...

So where have I been? Knee deep in work and a spate of server problems at the back end of last month had me hankering to hurl myself on the floor and wail like a child in frustration. Being self-employed and running blogs as a business, is rewarding, tiring, and full of the unexpected and it has meant that as time has gone on, I feel less inclined to record my life on here because writing or editing sometimes around 100 posts a week kills my mojo for personal blogging.

But in between all this, I've been brewing baby 2 (no nickname yet) and I'm now around 4 months pregnant. It was a 'surprise' but nonetheless exciting although my ma who has been badgering us to have another one since the bambino arrived said "But what about the credit crunch?" I'll frickin credit crunch her in a minute! A couple of weeks ago the boyf and I were out with her and talking about the baby. "So how did this happen?" she wisecracked. I was just going to ignore her but the boyf piped up with "Your daughter pounced on me one night and raped me!" Oh the mor-ti-fi-cation! - It's not true by the way... Naturally the two of them were howling with laughter whilst I wondered about giving him a thump in the nuts...

I am just a touch nervous about having two kids and being self-employed and on my most stressed out days, I can be heard shouting "How the f*ck am I going to cope with two kids?!"

The bambino isn't enthralled and suspects that something is up although she's stopped roughing up my tummy and instead laughs at it so we've made some progress. She's 17 months today and it's scary how quickly time is passing. She's a mouthy little diva that's a bit too clever for her own good so she keeps us on her toes although she's been sick for a couple of days so we've been spared her usual destruction and havoc, which we're starting to miss. Her favourite thing at the moment is making her toys snog each other for very long periods of time...

I know I'll probably get emails (and possibly even comments) asking about the big M - marriage because well, that's what people do. "So are you getting married then?" is what usually comes after congratulations. What I will say is that it has always been our plan to put each other on lock down (joke!) and that plan has not changed. But there are no specific details to 'release' at this moment...

So that's all from me for now! Have a good weekend x

You're a good person Nat.

Kind, giving, intelligent, hard working and wise about your choices.

You keep learning, keep observing and think about your deisions and see the results in perspective for what works for you and what doesn't - and then you take steps to change things for you for the better.

Just wanted to give you these words of support - you've had an overwhelming few weeks, and still appear to be taking it all in logical stride.

I'd like to hear more about how you mercilessly forced your unwilling bf to take all his clothes off and get you with child, but you can share your tactics later :) (lol)

Congrats on upcoming baby #2.

Totally adorable Bambino will most certainly miss being the center of your Universe, but then again, she'll learn what sharing is all about, and also end up with a playmate. Life has it's pros and cons, yes ?

p.s. I think it is a boy.

You probably will have a newborn when I get to London in April :)

Hope you have an excellent day, Nat - and a healthy happy baby when the time comes.
May labor be relatively easy, and may the credit crunch be tolerable.

((hugs))

Loving Annie

NML, Congratulations on "increasing" (I love that term from "Balance of Trade", SF from Sharon Lee and Steve Miller).

Blessed be!

Congratulations!

After I had my son, I felt I wanted to birth more children. Circumstances has not allowed it to happen. Just recently I finally accepted one would be it. I had no idea that my niece would end up (temporarily) living with me. There was not much planning before this, sort of just happened. It has been a few weeks, and do have my doubts as if I can do this. I'll have to do what I've always done in situations like this. Pray and move on.

I'm so excited for you!!!

Since you're brewing the little one, how about a nickname like Guiness? :-)

Poor bambino. I remember how my family duped me when my mom was pregnant with my sister. They kept saying, "Wouldn't you love a brother or sister?" and I was so little that I was like, "Yeah." And then after she was born and stole all of my attention and all of my toys, they used to say, "Don't complain about your sister. You asked for her!"

Oh my gosh...are you living my life. You know it wasn't until I was about 5 months preggy with my second that I ended up getting married. I'm so happy for you! Althought it may seem that having two is so much harder than having one...well...it's not. Until of course you have sibling rivalry and the second bambino does everything faster than the first...then you'll say...what the heck was I thinking. Just kidding.

congrats.
